Hi there! I'm Lucy, a 20 year old university student in Melbourne with a passion for building positive, long-term relationships with families and children. My passion for working with kids began 5 years ago when I started working as a tennis coach for primary school aged children. Building up kids' confidence in themselves and encouraging a team spirit, I quickly realised how rewarding working with kids could be. Despite no longer working as a regular coach, I am still invited back to my home town's tennis club to work in holiday coaching programs each year. Since then, I've worked as a nanny and babysitter for several families, including during my gap year in England. In that time, I nannied for a family with three energetic boys aged 1, 4 and 6, and for a family with a vibrant 1 year old girl. I built amazing relationships with my nanny families and have remained in contact with them since returning to Australia. I believe in building long-term relationships based on trust, respect and compassion. The true joy for me comes from helping to teach a baby to walk, a toddler new words, and children to grow in their confidence and capacity. It is vital to me that families feel they can place their full trust in me to keep their children safe, healthy, and engaged, in whatever capacity they require. I am confident in sole charge positions and in previous roles regularly organised full days out, attended toddler classes, sport lessons and done countless nursery/kindy/school pick ups and drop offs. I am experienced in morning/night routines and daytime nap schedules. Not to mention I am a passionate cook, baker, meal prepper, laundry folder and dish-washer!
