Hi, I'm Lloyd — a 28-year-old childcare professional originally from England, now based in Australia. I bring a wealth of hands-on experience, a deep understanding of child development, and a genuine passion for supporting children as they grow, learn, and thrive. My childcare journey began at 18 as a camp counsellor in the USA, where I lived in cabins with children aged 5–15 and helped create unforgettable summer experiences. Since then, I’ve worked as a ski instructor for kids aged 4–11, a live-in au pair caring for three children (aged 6, 8, and 10), and even helped manage a family household and farm during my stay. I was with the family for 8 months and was invited back for an additional 4 — a testament to the strong relationships I build. I’ve also worked as a one-on-one support aide for a student with autism in a rural school, tailoring my approach to his individual learning needs and ensuring he felt supported and included every day. I’m fun, active, and reliable — but also calm, patient, and highly responsible. I always aim to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children I care for. I hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check, First Aid trained and am available to start immediately. In addition, I’ll be beginning a part-time Childcare and Early Education course this September to continue growing my knowledge — while remaining fully committed and available for nanny work. References from families and school staff are readily available and happy to speak on my behalf.
