I love my job and I love working with young people of all ages. I have three degrees including a Masters in Literature from the University of Sydney. I enjoy teaching and learning respectively. I have my First Aid and Working with Children check. My children are 10 (boy) and 12 (girl) and I have them 50% of the time. I am looking for a little bit of extra work as I am a single parent and am paying a mortgage on my own. My hobbies include; reading, going to the beach, cooking, trying new restaurants and travelling when I can.

I have known Joanne as a work colleague and friend for 10 years. During that time I have come to know Joanne as a professional, dedicated English high school teacher who exercises perceptive sensitivity to individual student needs and applies her parental experience when situations call for thoughtful, practical solutions in managing children and teenagers. Students in her classes feel confident and secure with her as their teacher and often report how much they love being in her classes.
I have witnessed her interactions with her own children and conceive of her as a responsible yet fun parent, ensuring their health and well-being is her top priority and investing energy in teaching them responsibility and commitment to their learning at school and home. Joanne gets out and about with her kids, bike riding, walking the dog and going to the beach swimming or supporting them in their extra-curricular pursuits. She is also a great cook, regularly involving her kids in the process. Joanne does all the right things to care for and nurture her own children and those she teaches so I am sure she'll make a reliable, warm and trustworthy baby sitter.
